WCCC is creating a Mystery Mansion, open to the public over seven evenings in late October. A major scene in this haunted house requires a special mural, approximately 12 feet wide by six feet tall. If you want to express yourself in a bold, large format this could be your Fall exhibition! The subject matter is set but there are many many ways and styles it can be interpreted, so this can become your masterpiece with the supervison of our creative team. We supply all materials.
The mural can be completed in stages at times agreed by you and the site supervisor, but must be done at the Club due to the size of the panels. This offers great potential for a solo artist or by a team of up to 3 people working together. Come to an initial discussion and worksession, bring any examples of your work, and prepare to offer your creativity to make it your own!
All activities will comply with current CDC, Montgomery County and MCPS requirements to respond to the spread of COVID-19. Events will be held outdoors when possible. Indoor events will take place in our auditorium or large meeting room, with social distancing possible and ample air circulation at all times. When indoors, masks will be required for unvaccinated volunteers and members. Vaccinated individuals will wear masks in compliance with current MoCo mandates. Do not attend an activity if you have any signs of illness or any confirmed recent exposure to COVID-19. Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be readily available. Frequent wipe down of highly utilized areas will be observed in all areas where volunteers are present.
