Description

WCCC is creating a Mystery Mansion that will be open to the public for seven evenings in late October. The behind the scenes activity will make or break this event - so we need YOU if you know how to manage a digital projector, work to a tight schedule, create dramatic lighting effects, or record music or voice overs that will play on a loop. We have the basic plot, the scenes, and the excitement, we just need some clever techs who can help create the magic behind the scenes. You will work directly with our creative team as we welcome your ideas and contributions.

This commitment will include preparing and installing the actual Haunted House, coordiantion and planning, and finally providing back stage support for at least three of the seven nights in late October. Come to the kick off meeting and help define your role! Future work sessions and installation time can accomodate your schedule when coordinated with our site supervisor. Bring your bag of tricks and creative ideas to help us make this a true Mystery Mansion!

All activities will comply with current CDC,  Montgomery County and MCPS requirements to respond to the spread of COVID-19. Events will be held outdoors when possible. Indoor events will take place in our auditorium or large meeting room, with social distancing possible and ample air circulation at all times. When indoors, masks will be required for unvaccinated volunteers and members. Vaccinated individuals will wear masks in compliance with current MoCo mandates. Do not attend an activity if you have any signs of illness or any confirmed recent exposure to COVID-19. Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be readily available. Frequent wipe down of highly utilized areas will be observed in all areas where volunteers are present.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian  and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
