Do you like getting your hands in the soil, learning about different plants and bugs, and getting to know new people? If so, consider volunteering at Red Wiggler Care Farm, a 501(c)3 certified organic Care farm that employs individuals with developmental disabilities to provide nourishing food for the community.
We are always looking for individuals who have the time and dedication to commit to Red Wiggler. Most volunteer opportunities are Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 12 pm or 1 pm - 3 pm.
Our field volunteers assist with every aspect of keeping our farm running:
- transplanting
- harvesting for our CSA and for donation (we grow organic veggies, flowers, and herbs)
- weeding
- watering
- pest management
- and more!
As a volunteer you have an opportunity to be a partner to a Grower, learn about sustainable and organic farming methods, and join our inclusive community.
Interested volunteers should sign up for an on-farm orientation and register for shifts by checking out our GivePulse volunteering platform here: GivePulse Red Wiggler Homepage
Individuals 18 and over must submit a federal background check in order to volunteer. That can be done at this link. Please also note that individuals under the age of 14 must volunteer alongside an adult.
