Who We Are
We are a nonprofit, certified Organic sustainable vegetable farm where people with and without disabilities come together to work, learn and grow healthy food. We provide meaningful employment for adults with developmental disabilities on our sustainable vegetable farm, providing fresh local produce to our community through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and Farm to Food Bank programs. We also provide educational and service learning opportunities for youth and adults around sustainable farming and environmental stewardship.
What We Do
Our volunteers are an absolutely vital part of our community, and we rely on them to keep our farm and programs functioning. We have opportunities for individuals and groups for one-time and ongoing opportunities, and most volunteer opportunities are available from April-November.
Youth and adult volunteers complete a wide range of tasks, including: greenhouse work, like preparing soil and trays, seeding, watering, and potting on; field maintenance, including planting, bed preparation, and weeding; harvesting and preparing/washing our produce for distribution; and general farm clean-up and maintenance. Student and adult volunteers work side-by-side with individuals in our Grower program, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to share expertise and learn from each other.
