Event Description
Join Hope Builders and SHP Beds of Montgomery Village for a fun and rewarding afternoon as we come together to build beds for children in need. Your participation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children by ensuring they have a comfortable place to rest and sleep. Join as we try to help create a better and more nurturing environment for these deserving young ones. Let's make a positive impact and share the gift of a good night's sleep!
Purpose
Addressing the silent yet widespread issue of childhood bedlessness, we invite you to be a part of creating a meaningful impact by crafting beds for children in need. These beds are destined for families in Montgomery County, ensuring that each child receives a complete set, including a bed, mattress, pillows, and sheets. Upon delivery, each child gains more than just a bed – they now have a secure and comfortable space to call their own. Join us in making a tangible difference and bringing warmth and comfort to the lives of these children
Role
As a volunteer builder with SHP Beds, your role is instrumental in fabricating beds for children in our community. Engage in hands-on tasks such as sanding, drilling, staining, and branding, transforming raw lumber into finished pieces of comfort. Your craftsmanship directly contributes to providing a fundamental need for children who currently sleep on the floor. Whether you're a seasoned builder or new to the tools, your dedication in the workshop plays a vital part in the creation of beds that carry not just functionality but also the warmth of care and compassion. Clear instruction provided - no experience is necessary to make a difference with SHP!
