Join the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Eta Pi Zeta Chapter as we learn how to be an advocate in our community. Students will be provided an informative workshop geared towards middle and high school students on advocacy. Join us for a chance to network, participate in fun activities, learn valuable skills and learn about one of the most remarkable woman in history Fannie Lou Hamer.
Sessions will be provided in English and Spanish, and will be organized by grade level. Student Service Learning (SSL) hours will be available for students.
Topics and activities will include:
- Watching a documentary on Fannie Lou Hamer
- Women's presence in the Civil Right's movement
- How to be an advocate in your community
- Create a advocacy project for your community.
This event will be hosted at Marilyn J. Praisner Library. Must sign up in advance.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours.
