Projects include:
Project Linus - Make fleece blankets for children who are experiencing trauma, illness, or other situations where special comfort is required.
Kits to Heart - Make motivational art journals for cancer patients to use during their treatments.
You will be working on decorating journals to be included in our care kits for patients to use as appointment planners, reflection journals, coloring books, symptom trackers, or simply journals for doodling during treatments. The idea is to write some inspiring and motivational phrases and quotes on the covers, add any artwork and stickers, and add as much love as you can to let patients know we are rooting for them!
Materials are provided and SSL hours available!
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
