Citizens' Climate Lobby is looking for a few volunteers to help us carry our art in the Wheaton Arts Parade. The art is light (cardboard and plastic) and the parade is a short 1/2 mile walk.
We will meet at the assembly point (Grandview parking lot across the street from 11242 Grandview Avenue downtown Wheaton at 9:30 am; the parade will start at 10 am and will be over by 11:30 am at the latest.
Parade route will be closed to cars, but the site very close to Wheaton Metro station and parkiing will be available at the Park and Ride as well as other county lots (free on Sundays).
All ages are welcome, but volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Each 1 hr of assisting at the parade = 1 SSL hour
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
