Are you a student looking to earn some SSL hours? If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! Register with Senior Connection to assist seniors with a variety of computer-related tasks. It is also a great way to give back to the community and help seniors stay safe online.
During the event, a presentation will be given to the seniors on cyber security topics such as phishing scams, malware, and identity theft. Students will have the opportunity to help seniors with activities afterwards such as:
- Teaching seniors how to use features/app on their devices
- Basic computer troubleshooting problems
- Install apps, receive text and fill out google forms
- Help to set up, clean up and greet attendees
A training slide will be provided when volunteers register to participate. SSL hours will be given upon completion. We hope to see you there!
