Volunteers needed to host trash pick-up stations around the Little Falls watershed - Bethesda Chevy Chase area. You could pick your own favorite trash hot spot, or man one of our stations along the Willett and Little Falls creeks. It's an easy job. We advertise the event and send volunteers to your site. You have a sign-in table and sit there to give out gloves and bags. We provide all the materials and training (such as it is) and arrange for trash pick-up. It's a perfect job for anyone interested in seeing less trash but maybe not physically able to do a pick-up. An LFWA member will also be onsite to offer SSL hours to student volunteers.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
