Strathmore is hosting a Volunteer Usher Informational Session.
Our dedicated ushers work as part of a large front-line team to ensure a seamless operation and positive experience for our patrons. This orientation is for anyone interested in becoming a Strathmore Volunteer Usher for the Music Center located at 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda, MD. The two hour session will provide an overview of the ushering experience including but not limited to usher duties, tour of the Concert Hall, policy overview and emergency procedures. Strathmore ushers commit to volunteering for a minimum of 3 events per month in the Music Center.
Getting to Strathmore: We are located at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station. Parking for the orientations will be available either in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Garage or at the 88 metered spots on Tuckerman Lane adjacent to the facility. You will need a Smart Trip or credit card to exit the garage. If you want to avoid this charge, we recommend parking at the metered spots on Tuckerman Lane.
Check-In: Front of House staff will be in the Discovery Channel Grand Foyer, directly in front of the ticket office, to greet you. Check in will begin at 6:00 PM.
RSVP required to strathmorefohmgr@strathmore.org. Attending an Informational Session/Orientation is a requirement to begin ushering with Strathmore.
