The Welcome Team for Catholic Charities hiring event will exemplify the open and welcoming character of Catholic Charities. They will be the first face the prospective job candidates will see. Their convivial spirit will make candidates feel invited, desired, and welcomed to our organization. The Welcome Team will help Catholic Charities staff to attract new employees via this creative recruitment fair.
Catholic Charities’ Developmental Disabilities Services programs provide opportunities for a fulfilling future to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our programs are here to support individuals and their families and caretakers. We believe in the potential and talent of each person to contribute to and participate in their community. Welcome Team Volunteer Sign Up
Duties & Responsibilities:
Welcome Team volunteers will:
- Greet candidates as they arrive at the event
- Conduct a basic COVID-status check
- Record participant’s name and contact information,
- Conduct a basic job qualification screening
- Direct candidates to:
- Interviews
- Refreshments
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able walk and stand for extended periods of time during the shift
- Able to provide clear and consistent verbal instructions
- Able to take initiative to welcome and direct people
- Able to use a walkie-talkie to communicate with other team members in the building
- Preferable, speak basic to intermediate Spanish
