This event will be of great importance to senior residents seeking to vote in the upcoming elections!
Help our residents register to vote -- or make sure they are registered to vote -- for the upcoming gubernatorial primary election on July 19 and the general gubernatorial election on November 8. We are looking for up to 5 volunteers at this in-person Election Event on May 15 at Silver Creek Senior Living community in Kensington, MD, particularly important since many residents have just moved to Silver Creek. Duties include:
- Determining whether or not residents are registered to vote
- Helping those who are not registered to vote register online
- Assisting those who need to update or verify voter registration information
- Helping those who are interested request a mail-in ballot
- Sharing information about voting including election dates and deadlines, Silver Creek's polling place, and Early Voting locations
- Letting residents know their State Legislative District, Council District, Congressional District and how to find a list of candidates
Although most of the information is located here, we will make sure a lead volunteer can answer your questions. If you have an interest in volunteering for this event or have any questions, please e-mail Isabella Abraham (isabella@commtogether.org). If you are interested in volunteering but not be available on May15, please send Isabella an e-mail. Please note: This is a voter registration event, and volunteers may not advocate for a particular party or candidate.
