Description

As a Meaningful Patient & Family Visit Volunteer, you provide emotional support, companionship, and a comforting presence to patients and their loved ones during their time in hospice care. Your role is centered on creating meaningful moments—whether through conversation, quiet companionship, or simply being present during times of need.

Responsibilities may include visiting with patients, engaging in light activities, offering a listening ear, supporting family members during visits, and helping foster a peaceful and respectful environment. Volunteers may also assist with legacy projects, such as memory sharing or letter writing, and provide gentle support during transitional moments.

This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and comfortable offering support in emotionally sensitive situations. No specialized training is required—just a heart for service and a willingness to connect with others in meaningful ways. Volunteers often find deep fulfillment in knowing their presence brings comfort, dignity, and connection during life’s most tender moments.
