World Cancer Day, observed every year on February 4, is a global initiative that raises awareness, promotes prevention and early detection, and mobilizes communities worldwide to take action against cancer.
As part of our World Cancer Day Youth Campaign, ASL Pink Foundation is inviting high school girls to serve as Youth Ambassadors and help spread breast cancer awareness among youth and their communities.
Youth Ambassadors will participate in an interactive, age-appropriate Breast Health Education Workshop, where they will:
-Learn key information about breast cancer and early detection
-Engage in role-play scenarios designed to build confidence and communication skills for talking about breast health and breast cancer with family and friends
-Receive informational materials to take home and share with friends, parents, guardians, and female relatives to help spread awareness beyond the workshop.
-Engage in a hands-on advocacy project to develop breast cancer awareness materials that will be used for community education and outreach.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
