RoleRequirementsResponsibilities
Coach
(3-4 per team)

- At least 18 years old

- Consent to and complete a background check

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- 1-year commitment preferred

- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to delegate
- Must attend at least ONE practice a week


- Work with the Coach Lead to ensure that all aspects of the GOTR program and curriculum are delivered as intended

- Assist with the facilitation of the Girls on the Run curriculum and lead lessons as assigned by the Coach Lead

- Help facilitate and participate in games and workouts with the girls

- Help facilitate and participate in the practice 5K, community impact project, and end-of-season celebration

- Participate in the GOTR MoCo 5K

 

 

Junior Coach

 

- Junior or Senior High school student 

-Identify as female

- All NEW Junior Coaches will be required to complete 4, 1-hour, online Coach training modules 

- All RETURNING Junior Coaches will be required to complete 3, online, Coach training mini-modules 

- Possess the maturity to serve in a leadership role for elementary school-aged participants

- Must attend, at least, one practice per week


 

 

- Assist with the facilitation of the Girls on the Run curriculum

- With Coach Leads consent you may lead a lesson

- Encourage and motivate all participants

- Serve as a role model for program participants

- Participate in the GOTR MoCo 5K


 


Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
