Wheaton is walking to celebrate art and its diverse cultures. On September 28, the parade and festival will feature floats, music, dance, and more than 50 booths of artists selling their original art. Wheaton Arts Parade (WAP) needs volunteers to help pull floats and manage the parade assembly area, to hang signs from vendors' booths, to help artists set up their festival exhibits, to assist stage managers, to help lead art making activities, to distribute programs, staff the information booth and to help with packing up and returning floats to storage. Volunteers will receive a T-shirt and voucher toward the purchase of food or beverage. Students 13 years and older are able to volunteer and earn SSL hours. ADULTS ARE NEEDED TOO!!
Volunteers are for this all day event.
More volunteers are needed between 7am-12pm and from 4pm-6pm.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
