Muslim Community Center (MCC)

The Muslim Community Center (MCC) is a volunteer-managed, non-profit, church-exempt organization in Silver Spring Maryland. It serves thousands of families in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. area and strives to promote friendly relations and understanding between the Muslim community and the general public. It has a food-pantry and medical clinic that is open to people of all faiths.

Student volunteers will help support community facing programs hosted by the center. This will include: 

• event set-up, planning, doing activities & cleaning,
• sorting and distributing groceries for food-pantry distribution,
• sorting and distributing clothing/donations for distribution
• serve meals during iftars or potluck events 
• childcare for ages 4-9 year olds
