Who We Are
The French Heritage Association is a non-profit organization that was created in 2015 by parents of the Washington DC region to increase public awareness of the benefits of learning the French language.
What We Do
The French Heritage supports, encourages and advances the knowledge of French for children enrolled in schools in the United States.
Our volunteer students welcome participants in our programs and events, are people-oriented and support staff as needed during programs and events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AMONG OTHERS OF OUR VOLUNTEER STUDENTS:
- Learn about our program offerings and events.
- Greet participants.
- Answer participant inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff.
- Take messages for staff during programs and events.
- Answer telephone calls during programs and events.
- Occasionally help on our campus with office administrative work, computer work, and programs preparation.
- Check people in for programs.
- Support staff as needed during programs and events.
- Support participants during programs and events.
All assignments provide training, the opportunity to work with children, and to practice French language skills.
