Who We Are
National Brain Tumor Society is a nonprofit organization inspiring hope and providing leadership within the brain tumor community. We exist to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by brain tumors. We fund strategic research, deliver support services, and promote collaboration.
What We Do
The Race for Hope-DC community will come together on May 7, 2023 to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of brain tumor patients and their families.
Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, the Race for Hope - DC has become one of the most successful races in the Washington, DC area.
Volunteers at pre-race events and on Race Day are essential to the Race for Hope's success. There is no charge to register as a volunteer and all registered volunteers receive a special volunteer t-shirt. In addition, you can volunteer on your own or as part of a team.
Participants who walk or run in the Race but who also volunteer are another key to the Race's success. Packet Pick-ups; Race Day Set-up and Clean-up; Kids Fun Run; Gear Check; Race Ambassadors, and the Survivor Tribute are just a few of the positions available which enable participants to also volunteer.
