Who We Are

Join Us in Making a Difference!

The Truancy Prevention Program (TPP), part of the State’s Attorney’s Office's community outreach initiatives, is dedicated to keeping students engaged and in school. By addressing the root causes of truancy and supporting families, TPP helps remove barriers that stand in the way of student success.

We’re already making an impact in 23 middle schools and 4 high schools, but our goal is to reach every corner of Montgomery County — and we can’t do it without YOU.

Become a volunteer and help change lives. Your time and commitment can keep students on track, strengthen communities, and build brighter futures.

What We Do

Mentor. Motivate. Make a Difference.

As a TPP mentor, you’ll meet with students once a week for 10 weeks, alongside our dedicated Truancy Prevention Program team. Together, we work to create meaningful change by:

  • Reducing school absenteeism
  • Improving students’ attitudes toward education
  • Providing personalized mentoring and goal-setting
  • Helping students realize their full potential

Join us and be part of a team that’s changing lives — one student at a time. Sign up today!
