Who We Are
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has been providing civic education and advocacy through volunteers since 1920. The League encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to anyone age 16 and over, regardless of gender identity.
What We Do
We are a volunteer organization dedicated to empowering voters and defending democracy. We produce information on voting - Voters' Guide, Vote411, Your Voice, Your Vote; Your Elected Officials - that is provided free to the public. We also study issues affecting the county, state and nation and produce Fact Sheets based on those studies for our members and the public. We utilize volunteers to help with our projects, voter registration, mailings and misc. needs in the office. We also provide civic education for students in the form of experiential learning and civic engagement opportunities for our future voters.
