Leadership Initiatives

Leadership Initiatives (LI) empowers underdeveloped communities to address their own needs by partnering with local government and business leaders to provide promising individuals with entrepreneurial, leadership, and project management training. These leaders are able to identify obstacles, develop solutions, and create new businesses to empower themselves and their communities. Short term objective: Train local leaders to create sustainable solutions to existing community problems. Long term objective: Develop a generation of leaders that are poised to empower entire nations.

LI?s International Leadership and Business Summit is a program designed to inspire and promote the efforts of high school leaders to create global change. Leadership Initiatives expands the leadership capacity of hundreds of high school students on both a local and regional level throughout the world. In doing so, LI creates a new generation of leaders with both a greater understanding and depth of experience in international development. These student leaders are partnered directly with business leaders from around the world with a mission to help solve issues facing their business. In effect, this fosters cross-cultural collaboration that strengthens developing leaders in both nations. LI?s IBAP benefits the development of students? character, motivation, and drive for the future. Once in the program, many opportunities also become available to participating high school students.
