Leaders Institute

The mission of the Leaders Institute (LI) is to develop leadership skills in students through strategically planning and executing community engagement events.

The Leaders Institute is a non-profit organization based in Downtown Silver Spring. Through leadership development classes, students learn to be technically excellent and morally responsible by working as a team to plan and execute initiatives to address needs within the community. Activities include canned food drives, toy drives, pedestrian safety block party's, talent showcases, job/college fairs,, festivals for the homeless, etc. Our motto is, you do not have to wait to be a leader, you can be a leader right now by being the change you want to see. Students are tasked with discovering a need and finding innovative fun ways to meet the need in a way that engages youth.
