House Of Divine Guidance, Inc.

House of Divine Guidance is an emergency housing and service program for homeless women. We provide a welcoming atmosphere where women feel the love of Christ, nurturing, and support to receive needed resources and services that result in improved relationships and finances, better physical health and mental health, reliable income, and stable housing. We empower women to become self-sufficient, to rise above their circumstances, and to achieve a higher purpose.

We operate an annual winter hypothermia shelter providing a warm bed, two hot meals, a sack lunch, counseling, access to needed services, job readiness services, clothing, and toiletries.  The shelter accepts women and children. We help clients develop Individual Service Plans with career goals. We provide case management to achieve goals and obtain referrals to needed services. We focus on life skills, grooming and hygiene. We provide employment assistance to include assessment of skills and interests, employment preparation, and assistance with job search. We provide basic computer skills. We offer employment support groups. We provide clothing and food.
