Who We Are

Originally a Chautauqua retreat, then an amusement park, Glen Echo Park is now a vibrant arts and humanities center managed by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture. The Park presents year-round activities in dance, theater, visual arts and environmental education. Classes and summer camps are offered in painting, photography, art glass, pottery, music and dance for all ages, theater and more. Among the Park's most popular activities are weekly dances in the historic Spanish Ballroom, performances by the Puppet Co. and Adventure Theatre, and special events such as the annual Labor Day Art Show. Volunteers are mostly needed for big festivals and events that take place through out the year. We also use volunteers to help with the summer camps. Volunteer groups have also helped with facilities and grounds projects such as landscaping, graffiti removal, and painting.
