Who We Are

To advocate for the timely placement of abused and neglected children in safe, permanent homes and for the highest quality of care while they are in foster care and under the juvenile court's jurisdiction.

What We Do

Our mission is accomplished through the recruitment, training and ongoing support and supervision of volunteers from the community who are appointed by the Juvenile Court judges to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for these children. CASA volunteers serve as voices for one of our most vulnerable populations - abused and neglected children.

In addition to volunteer advocates (who must be at least 21 years of age), Voices for Children Montgomery utilizes volunteers as members of its Board of Directors and to provide support for many of our organization's administrative activities. Examples of activities for student volunteers: help with national child welfare data research, maintaining our database of available services and resources for children and families, updating media lists and contacts, as well as helping to design informational Powerpoint presentations and social media campaigns.
