Cantonese School and Community of Greater DC, Inc

The organization is created to provide Cantonese heritage language instruction and cultural education to individuals, families, and children throughout the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. It serves an educational and cultural purpose by making Cantonese language instruction and cultural programming accessible to the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area community, preserving linguistic and cultural heritage that would otherwise have limited formal instructional access in the DMV region. The program is open to any individual interested in learning Cantonese and engaging with Cantonese cultural traditions, with no restrictions based on age, heritage background, or geographic location within the DMV region.

Student volunteers are active participants at the school engaging with teachers and enrolled students. They will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen their Cantonese language and cultural knowledge while being immersed in the educational setting. They will provide assistance and support to the teaching staff.
