Who We Are
What We Do
Amata Volunteers support community engagement through mindfulness, education, and cultural programs. They guide visitors through the art gallery, introduce meditation and tea culture, assist with gardening and environmental stewardship, and help create a peaceful and welcoming community space. Volunteers also organize activities for school-age children, encouraging them to integrate mindfulness into their learning and daily lives.
Amata has hosted educators from Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) to explore the application of mindfulness in education and is a member of the Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington, promoting interfaith dialogue, cultural understanding, and community well-being.
