Grace Evangelical Church

Grace Evangelical Church is a nonprofit, faith-based community organization dedicated to serving children, youth, families, and individuals throughout the surrounding community. We welcome participants of all backgrounds and provide free educational, mentoring, leadership, recreational, and family-centered programs that foster personal growth, academic success, positive character development, and community engagement. Our programs—including Vacation Bible School (VBS), youth mentoring, tutoring, family events, and community outreach—are open to both church members and non-members. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where children and families can learn, grow, build healthy relationships, and develop leadership and life skills while strengthening our community.

Student volunteers participate in supervised community service activities that directly benefit children, youth, families, and the local community. Volunteer opportunities include: Assisting teachers during Vacation Bible School (VBS) and children's educational programs. Mentoring and serving as positive role models for elementary, middle, and high school students. Tutoring children in reading, homework, and academic enrichment. Leading recreational games, sports, music, arts, and team-building activities. Supporting social-emotional learning by encouraging inclusion, kindness, teamwork, confidence, and healthy peer relationships. Assisting with youth leadership, life-skills, and character development activities. Welcoming families and helping with event registration and hospitality. Preparing classrooms, organizing educational materials, and maintaining safe learning spaces. Setting up and cleaning classrooms and activity areas before and after programs. Assisting with community outreach events and family programs that are open to the public. Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children and youth can learn, develop healthy relationships, and participate in meaningful activities. All student volunteers serve under adult supervision and receive guidance appropriate to their responsibilities. Through these service opportunities, volunteers develop leadership, communication, teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, and civic engagement skills while making a meaningful contribution to the well-being of children, families, and the greater community.
