one who helps transform” in Amharic
Mission:
AWEC empowers women, girls, and youth through education, leadership
development, entrepreneurship programs, and community initiatives that help
build confidence, skills, and opportunities to thrive.
Vision:
We envision a world where women and girls are confident, economically
empowered, and equipped to lead, innovate, and contribute to strong, inclusive
communities.
History:
AWEC was founded to bring a dedicated space for learning, mentorship, and
empowerment to communities in the United States. Building on over a decade of
experience supporting women, girls, and youth in Ethiopia through leadership
and education programs, AWEC now offers workshops, training, and community
initiatives designed to foster growth, opportunity, and lasting impact.
