Department of Health and Human Services

The Commission on Children and Youth. Missioned to 1) identifying the needs of young people and their families, and the groups and agencies that serve them; 2) informing and advising the County Executive, the County Council and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Board of Eduction (BOE) and the community at large; 3) recommending policies, programs, funding and legislative priorities and 4) affirming the needs, aspirations and achievements of all the County's young people.

Volunteers participate in community engagement events such as our annual youth roundtable event. Students have an opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas, concerns and advocate for real change in their communities.
