Who We Are

We are an all-volunteer, community orchestra that welcomes newcomers who want to learn balalaika or domra. We have instruments to lend and teachers to teach. We also need a skilled accordion/bayan player, percussionist and an upright bass player. We meet in Arlington on Wednesday nights. Visit us at www.balalaika.org, email to balalaika@balalaika.org or check out our Facebook and Instagram pages.

What We Do

Volunteers will join our 50+ member orchestra in performing symphonic concerts throughout the year, across the DC-MD-VA metro area (and occasionally further afield). Our orchestra plays folks instruments from Russian/Eastern Europe, augmented with traditional symphonic instruments, including woodwinds, accordions, bass and percussion.
