American Sokol Washington

American Sokol Washington DC (Sokol Washington) provides fitness and community for individuals and families of Czech, Slovak and Moravian heritage, as well as for any other interested persons. We offer an array of sports and outdoor-appreciation activities, and a variety of social, cultural and educational opportunities.

There are many ways to volunteer such as helping to plan, organize, prepare, promote, setup, staff and cleanup our many activities and community outreach events throughout the year; participate in the administration of AWS; assist, teach, mentor, and coach kids/youth in the Czech and Slovak language school and its fitness and cultural activities (traditional Czech/ Slovak/Bohemian dance, music, singing, crafts, language, sports, etc.
