

Who We Are
Telugu Association of Maryland (TAM) is a non-profit organization, established in 2015, focused to preserve, maintain, and perpetuate the cultural heritage of the people of Telugu origin in Maryland. To assist and propagate cultural, educational, social, economic, and community affairs of the people of Telugu origin in Maryland. To organize periodic Telugu literary, cultural, and educational conferences throughout the North American continent to promote the objectives of TAM. To collaborate in the organization of Telugu literary, cultural and educational conferences in other countries. To foster friendship and understanding among Telugu people, and between people of Telugu origin and other people. To raise, solicit, and collect funds and donations either directly or in cooperation with other not-for-profit organizations for cultural, educational, and charitable purposes in North America and abroad for the purpose of serving both the Telugu community and the community at large. To work with the National/Regional Telugu organizations as a co-host for the events related to Telugu community in Maryland and DC Metro Area. What We Do
Student volunteer their time, efforts and other resources to community service. They may assist at some of our community events including the regular cultural events, any co-hosted events and sports events. Volunteer tasks include setting up events, helping with registration, information and clean up.
