Who We Are
The Mill Creek Towne Swim Association (MCTSA), established in 1966, is a community-oriented, member-run neighborhood pool. Members enjoy access to the pool and its grounds, along with vibrant swim and dive teams. The main pool features lap lanes, a diving well with two boards, and a roped-off shallow area ranging from 2 to 3.5 feet deep. Additionally, there is a separate, shaded baby pool designed for children under 5. The grounds also offer a variety of activities, including a playground, basketball court, volleyball, shuffleboard, and a gaga ball pit. The pavilion includes eight picnic tables, gas grills, and a fully stocked snack bar.
What We Do
MCTSA relies on the dedication of its volunteer community to keep the pool open and running each year. Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting daily operations and maintaining the pool’s vibrant atmosphere. Responsibilities include assisting in the snack bar, providing friendly customer service, preparing and serving food, and managing both digital and cash transactions. Volunteers also help with spring cleaning, including grounds cleanup (trimming bushes and trees), to prepare the pool for opening day.
These tasks are essential to providing the services that our members—ranging from newborns to grandparents—enjoy year after year. Your volunteer efforts help maintain a clean environment, keep the snack bar running smoothly, and ensure that we can continue serving the Derwood community.
