Who We Are

We do outreach because we believe in the transformative power of relationship building, both personally and for communities. We have fun meeting strangers, demonstrate empathy for people's struggles, and bond with people we just met. Everyday Canvassing is an organization of folks who believe our community members are experts whose experiences and ideas are needed to determine the best solutions to our county issues. We also use outreach as a tool to connect people who say they need immediate assistance with resources they may be unfamiliar with.

What We Do

We conduct safe, accessible, and multi-lingual outreach at events, over the phone, social media, and doorknocking to meet folks where they are, learn how to improve our local government through their feedback, and connect them to county and mission-driven services able to assist them.

Montgomery County students can earn SSL hours by volunteering in a supervised public space to answer phone calls from community members who need assistance, providing multi-lingual assistance to community members, gathering feedback on local government issues, and connecting residents with relevant county and mission-driven services. Students may also earn SSL hours by participating and sharing their perspectives in public townhalls and similar civic discussions.
