The UpCounty Hub

Who We Are

The UpCounty Hub was founded in March 2020 at the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic by community leader Grace Rivera-Oven. We started with just 23 families in the local Germantown area. Now, four years later, we are a permanent nonprofit serving an average of 1,300 families every week. The County has duplicated our model seven times throughout Montgomery County.

What We Do

The UpCounty Consolidation Hub provides food and other essential items to community members disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteers assist with assembling/filling food packages, delivering food packages to the most vulnerable residents, hosting or assisting with donation drives and helping with special events hosted by the HUB throughout the year.
