High Schoolers for Front Liners (HSFL) is a student-led 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to creating handmade masks, heart pillows, lap blankets, letters and other necessary protective gear for hospitals, detention centers, and children’s centers. Our mission is to provide unfiltered support to facilities in need and bring students together to protect the lives of front-line workers, inmates, and others. With over 2000 members, HSFL has donated more than 50,000 homemade fabric items since our creation in March 2020. We proudly donate to several facilities including the Doctor’s Community Hospital in PG County, the Veterans Affairs Center in Baltimore, Howard University Hospital in DC, Med-star in DC and two detention centers - the Anne Arundel County and Montgomery County Detention Center. In addition, we support children’s centers, including The Children’s Home and New Bright Community Development Center in Ethiopia. We have partners with MCPS SGA and MCPS Achieving Collegiate Excellence & Success (ACES) Program.
