Who We Are

ASDF helps advance the social and emotional growth of MCPS youth by promoting health, exercise and unity through Latin dance education. Schools compete annually at the Music Center at Strathmore representing their school every November. The 8 categories they compete in are: Couples Chacha, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Parent/Student, Junior Group, Senior Group, and Jack & Jill.

The After School Latin Dance Fund (ASDF), is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides artistic, technical, and financial support for the establishment of after school Latin dance programs in public schools. These dance programs work to strengthen family values, heritage and unity, and help students develop confidence, promote excellence in performing arts and academics.
