Meals on Wheels of Central MD delivers two nutritious meals daily to the aging and disabled to help them remain in place at home with dignity. MOWCM also provides additional assistance through SNAP screenings, case management, and healthcare partnerships to increase the clients' overall quality of life.
Volunteers pack meals in our central kitchen, deliver meals from a local distribution site, grocery shop for clients, and call clients to reduce social isolation.
Student volunteers can earn SSL hours packing meals at our central kitchen (14+) or crafting service projects to brighten the days of our clients. Teens and youth can also volnuteer with a parent to deliver meals, grocery shop, or call clients, but these opportunities will not count towards SSL hours.
