Volunteer at the 10 mile race! Held at the Washington Monument.

Cheer on runners, get them to their starting location or keep them on course.  Make sure they are hydrated and best of all cheer them on!

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. Volunteer at the 5k and Kids Run and be part of race day!

Volunteer at the Race Expo and be part of the buzz before race day! Held indoors at the National Building Museum, this is a fun, upbeat way to support the event without being out in the elements. You’ll help runners get race-ready by handing out bibs and race shirts, answering quick questions, and guiding people to the right place as excitement builds. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
