Above & Beyond Education is seeking welcoming host families in the community to open their hearts and homes to international exchange students for the upcoming academic year.
Hosting an exchange student is a deeply rewarding volunteer experience that brings the world directly to your family and community.
We are currently on a tight timeline to find placements for our remaining student, wonderful young woman from Spain who are fully vetted, insured, and ready for their American adventure:
- Neus (14, Spain): An energetic and independent student who previously spent four months studying in Ireland. Neus plays competitive basketball as a quick ball-handler, has played the flute for nine years, loves dogs, and dreams of becoming a doctor.
What is required to host?
Host families simply provide a safe, supportive home environment, a designated bed for the student (can share a room with a same-sex sibling close in age), and three daily meals. Families of all shapes and sizes make excellent hosts, including empty nesters, single parents, and families with young children. Above & Beyond Education provides 24/7 local coordinator support throughout the entire exchange period.
