Description

Hi all!

Small Things Matter serves food insecure families in Montgomery County.  We are going to be in Takoma Park 4th of July parade this year and we would love for you to join us! Responsibilities include smiling, waving, and giving out literature, giving out fruit to the kids.  We are using this opportunity to spread the word about our free food resources so that we can reach more of the elderly/disabled populations who might not be aware of our food program.

SSL hours will be awarded to MS/MS students.  We would love both kids and adults to join us.  MS/HS students will receive their SSL hour form at the end of the parade.

We will meet at 9am at the Takoma Park Community Center to change into STM tees (tees provided) and get into position. The parade starts at 10am and lasts for 2 hours.  You will be walking so wear good shoes and put on sunscreen!
