Small Things Matter does a variety of things in our community with our food, literacy, and crafting programs. We will be celebrating kindness for humans and animals in honor of Tommy Raskin in his hometown of Takoma Park.
There will be various kindness activities benefitting local charities that support people as well as animals for families and individuals of all ages to participate in, collections at PBES on the day of the event, local businesses offering in-store kindness events, and a raffle benefitting the Tommy Raskin Memorial Fund for Humans and Animals https://tommyraskinfund.org.
We will be collecting donations of these items at Piney Branch ES on Saturday, January 28 from 10am-1pm.
- brand new coloring books for sick children
- non-perishable foods such as canned foods, cereals, rice, flour, beans, etc.
- brand new puzzle books for seniors
