Event Description:
Calling 13-18 year old students! Create 200+ bouquets of flowers for May Day! Traditionally, on May Day, people hang bouquets of flowers, candies, and other goodies on the doorknobs of their friends, family, and loved ones. We are continuing this tradition by creating bouquets of flowers to give to the seniors in our community!
We are seeking fifteen 7-12 grade students to meet at our office: 15800 Crabbs Branch Way Suite #300 Rockville, MD 20855 on Apr 30, 2023 at 1:30 - 4:30 PM. Students will create bouquet wrappers, attach handwritten notes, and assemble bouquets at this event. Refreshments will be provided.

Parents, please drop off students 5 minutes prior to the event. Unfortunately, we have limited space and will not be able to accommodate parents and siblings in attending the community service event.
SSL Hours:
Students earn a total of 3 community service hours (SSL) by participating in the event from 1:30-4:30. Students will be receiving SSL hours on an hour-by-hour basis, based on their check-in and check-out time. Community service forms (SSL) with the total hours earned will be distributed at the end of the event to the students.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
