Come help SWE support our partners and communities in D.C. by pitching in to help clear a section of road from 2501 Good Hope road to Anacostia metro station of debris! We'll be working in teams of 4 to collect loose trash in bags along both sides of the route. We'll be starting at 10:00 on Sunday 1/15 and going until 2PM.
Volunteers will receive a SWE tote bag and tee-shirt. Disposable gloves, bags, dustbins, brooms, etc. will be provided.
Anyone 15 or older is welcome to serve unaccompanied. Volunteers 14 or younger will need to have a parent / designated adult guardian serve with them.
Gather at 2501 Good Hope road (One Care D.C. building) between 09:30 and 10:00. A welcome and safety awareness address will be made. Volunteers will be set up in 4 teams, each team will cover a section of the clean up route. Hot beverages and snacks will be provided.
