About the event

The 33rd annual Rockville Science Day will be held at the Rockville campus of Montgomery College on Sunday, April 21, from Noon to 5:00 PM. It’s an afternoon of family fun, with hands-on exhibits, demonstrations, and performances in all fields of science, including Environment, Nature, Space & Astronomy, Reptiles & Birds, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Robotics, Rockets, and more! Food will be available for purchase.

Gotta Know!

  • Volunteers must be 15 to adult! This is a Montgomery College Requirement. 
  • There is a lot of walking. Wear good walking shoes. 
  • There will be limited light snacks and beverages at the Volunteer Lounge. The College cafeteria is open for the event.
  • We give MCPS SSL (Service Hours) hours to MCPS students. If you are with another organization, bring your form unless you can take the MCPS SSL form.
  • Volunteers will have time to enjoy the event.
  • You will get additional information about volunteering in March.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian  and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
