KEEN Greater DC invites you to join KEEN children and young adults with disabilities, their volunteer coaches and family members, and friends of KEEN for a festive and spirited day at Timberlawn Local Park in Rockville, Md., (10800 Gloxinia Drive, Rockville, MD.) The Annual KEEN Sports Festival will celebrate 32 successful years of free, one-to-one recreational and exercise activities for children and young adults with significant physical and developmental disabilities. Volunteers will team up with KEEN’s athletes for instructor-led activities, including, Fitness, Dancing and Tae Kwon Do, and individualized play. Light snacks and water will be provided.
KEEN Greater DC is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides free-of-charge, one-to-one recreational activities to children and young adults with all types of disabilities in ways that allow them to build self esteem and self confidence. Volunteers are the heart of KEEN. While KEEN’s regular activities take place at different sites throughout Greater Washington, DC, and Baltimore, the Sports Festival is the one time each year for all KEEN participants to celebrate in person as a single group.
