Volunteer Coordinator
A Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing an organization’s volunteer program, ensuring that volunteers are effectively recruited, trained, and engaged. Their key responsibilities typically include:
Manage the MCVC account
Ensure volunteer opportunities are posted and approved
Identify volunteer needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Promote volunteer opportunities through various channels (social media, community outreach, etc.).
Develop schedules and ensure adequate volunteer coverage for events/programs.
- Maintain clear communication with volunteers through emails, meetings, or newsletters.
Serve as the main point of contact for all volunteer-related inquiries.
Track volunteer hours, participation, and impact.
- Maintain volunteer records and databases.
- Provide reports and feedback to leadership on volunteer contributions.
Time commitment - approximately 6 to 12 hours per week.
